Bankrate.com just published it's annual survey of closing costs and North Carolina had the least expensive costs, at an average of $2,650.00 for a $200,000.00 home!
As expected, New York had the most expensive closing cost fees averaging $4,016 in the survey. Nationwide the average fees to close rang in at $3,118.00 for a $200,000.00 home.
So if you've been considering a move to the Raleigh, Cary or Apex region of North Carolina, now is the time to do it! Our closing costs are the lowest in the nation, there is still time to qualify for the $8,000 first time home buyer tax credit ($6,500 for existing homeowners who qualify), mortgage rates are still at historic lows and there are lots of great deals here in the Triangle area!
